Write your first session note
A session note in Soap Notes belongs to a booking, which belongs to a client. That is the whole filing system, and it means a note cannot end up detached from the appointment it describes. Open the session, write it up, and it is already where the next person looking for it would think to check.
How to do it
- 1
Open the booking
From Scheduling, then Bookings, or from the client's own record if you are working through one person's history.
- 2
Write the note
The editor holds structured, formatted text. What you type is saved against that session, and it stays available from both the booking and the client.
- 3
Use a template if you write the same headings every time
Saving your SOAP structure once and dropping it in beats retyping the same four headings several times a day.
Privacy
Client detail screens are excluded from session recording entirely, and note content is masked in the analytics Soap Notes collects about how the product is used. Nothing you write in a note is sent anywhere as analytics data.
