Save a note template
If your notes follow the same shape every time, and most clinical notes do, a template turns the blank page into a filled-in skeleton. It is a small change that pays back several times a day, and it makes notes written by different people in the same practice look like they came from the same practice.
How to do it
- 1
Open Settings, then Templates
Create a template and give it a name you will recognise in a dropdown at four in the afternoon.
- 2
Write the structure, not the content
Headings, prompts and anything you genuinely write every time. Leave out anything you would have to delete more often than keep.
- 3
Apply it from a session note
Templates are picked from inside the note editor, so you can choose a different one per session without changing any setting.
